We are seeking a Technical Writer for a very important client.
How will you make an impact?
The Technical Writer is a contract position that will help with the creation, clean up and organization of content in the current knowledge base environment. This position will additionally help prepare new content pages and update older content to align with a new knowledge experience we are standing up by November 15, 2020. You will be responsible for developing and targeting knowledge content for our global service organization. You will work with our Knowledge Teams to use, create and implement best practices around knowledge process, knowledge creation, knowledge structure, and knowledge reuse.
What will you do?
The Technical Writer will align with our efforts in building and optimizing specific product line knowledge content and solutions. You will work within the context of a knowledge vision, strategy and framework for implementation. You will work with users, customers and the business to understand the knowledge needs and drive the creation, delivery and use of the solutions needed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Knowledge Base Responsibilities
Independently write, curate, and manage accurate, concise, and well-written technical content in Moxie knowledge base.
Work with technical teams to evaluate current content and carry out article disposition through batch processing.
Update existing article content into new format and function.
Work with technical teams to collect, collate and publish technical documentation in the form of knowledge base hardware and information pages.
Gather information on relevant subjects from internal resources.
Review knowledge base settings (attributes and categories) and update and harmonize across product lines.
Write clear and concise procedures based on recommendations.
Explain scientific, technical, and operational activity in clearly written language for customer Self-Help.
Evaluate and structure the product line specific document library and knowledge network.
Adjust documentation as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
Migrate current content as needed.
Peer review of current documentation.
Create, modify and post KB (web) content
