Our client is looking for a Freelance Copywriter to work part-time, remote. 

Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication. Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation. Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users. May document engineering processes and specifications. Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements. Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.

We’re looking for an innovative, motivated, creative talent to support our Creative Services team as a freelance copywriter. Working remotely, this writer will support the business and marketing needs of the brand. Working in conjunction with the teams’ copywriter, project manager, digital content specialist and marketing communications manager, this person will write and edit copy. In this role, you will be writing and editing copy for: digital content, direct mail, video scripts, collateral/marketing communications, website and landing pages, SEO, email, thought leadership, Resource Hub articles, social media and more. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, communications, journalism or agency copywriting experience with the ability to quickly write effective copy that informs, engages and motivates the reader to deliver on campaign goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Writing the following types of copy to most effectively communicate our brand messaging, positioning, and call to action to our prospects and current customers:

Strong ability to write digital content for varying formats and audiences, adhering to best practices and standards of the individual channels:

  • Website copy
  • Lead-driving landing page content
  • Optimizing content for SEO
  • Interactive infographics
  • Resource Hub articles and thought leadership
  • Organic social media post copy and occasionally paid search and social executions

Excellent ability to adapt the brand’s voice and tone to deliver on messaging goals throughout the funnel in external family communications, including but not limited to the following formats:

  • Email campaign messaging o Information session presentation and video scripts
  • Brochures, flyers, posters o Versioning school-specific information for direct mail postcards and other mailers

Thorough understanding of how to communicate with internal teams and existing customers to maintain and improve customer experience by:

  • Drafting and editing internal communications
  • Drafting and editing customer-facing copy used by customer support team, including call scripts, email templates, etc
  • Drafting and editing customer-facing enrollment system messaging

Minimum Education Requirement:  Bachelor's Degree
