Product Owner & Technical Writer

For this opening candidate must work directly for us, NOT corp to corp. Start working remotely and then come to Milwaukee when staff returns to office.

The person in this role will support a product development initiative related to the use of RSA Archer in the management of regulatory policies and standards. The work involves the Enterprise Compliance Life Product program and the implementation of treatment plans required to respond to external and internal regulatory changes. It will require product owner skills along with some background in technical writing. This includes working as part of an agile development team, with the responsibility to gather business requirements, produce product documentation (epics, features, stories, etc.), user guides, and training material. It will also involve compilation of information collected into policy objectives and control solutions as well as development of process flows.

Product Owner Perspective - Provide leadership on this effort as a Product Owner/Project Manager (working closely with the NM Product Manager and NM Project Manager) ensuring all interested stakeholders are identified, aligned, informed, and provide timely input. Accountable for ensuring that the effort moves forward in a timely manner and focuses on the highest priorities of relevant stakeholders. Strong communication and organization skills. Strong negotiation skills to work through conflicting priorities.

Technical Writer Perspective - Provides technical documentation. Proven work experience in technical writing of software documentation; Ability to deliver high quality documentation with attention to detail; Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and convert them to easily understandable text and pictures; Excellent written skills in English; Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite to be able to leverage various tools and techniques to produce effective documentation for the project.

Must Have:

  • 5 plus years of experience in the areas of analysis (business and technical) and designing new/changes to process flows.
  • Ability to take input such as bullet points, pictures, roughly written concepts and verbal ideas, and then transitioning them into documented material.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, business process capture/notation, training/ learning concepts.
