Gabriel Moore-Topazio is a San Francisco based writer and artist. He studied History of Art & Visual Culture and Literature at University of California, Santa Cruz. There, he developed the tools of visual storytelling and a passion for creating work that is unlike anything that has come before. He has worked as a collage artist, a writer, an illustrator, an art director, an actor, and is always on the hunt for new creative ventures. As a self taught artist he created the independent comic Asylum, which has released 14 issues. He has also had work featured in the comic anthologies “Psychosis,” “Bay Area Comic Anthology,” and “Not Forgotten: A Public Domain Superhero Anthology”. Topazio has appeared as the Artist in Residence at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, and at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco. As cocreator of the webseries Bloody Maria, a finalist as the Sundance Writing Lab, he served as cowriter and art director. He has also contributed articles to the San Francisco based news/blog website, Broke Ass Stuart.
